The Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto this week played host to several universities and Non Governmental Organisations in the first ever British council national study visit in Africa. The week long even which is in collaboration with the British council active citizens was held in UDUS due to the impressive social action projects carried out by the university the co-ordinator, British council for the northern region stated. The event began with an opening ceremony in which the vice chancellor of the university launched the event. There was also a world cafe where all the participants in the event showcased their communities and their peculiarities. The university played host to several universities including ABU, Federal University Dutse, University of Calabar, Bayero University Kano, and a delegate from Pakistan. The event also included community visits to several communities in sokoto and a cultural night at Giginya hotel sokoto.
