Meet Your Student Union Executives

Most students of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto hardly know their SU executives, apart from the details at the back page of the student union Notebook. Here's what you might not know about some of the 2015/2016 student union executives.

Umar Farouq Said (De-Comrade)

Comrade Umar Farouq Sa'id is the student union president. A 400 level student from the faculty of law, he was formerly a student of the faculty of education
but he later on moved to the faculty of law. He was formerly the president of the National Association Of
 Campus Journalists and he has represented the university in several contests. An avid writer, he's the author of a book and has written articles for National dailies. He hails from funtua, and he believes he has a strong passion for justice. Mr President was also the former project co-ordinator of UDUS ENACTUS.

Amina Yahaya (Queen)

Amina Yahaya Is the student union vice president and acting president since the president got suspended. She is a 400 level student of English and was once the secretary general of UDUS ENACTUS. She attended federal government college sokoto and has held leadership positions even in her department. A pretty young woman, she was nominated for the beauty and brains awards by the UDUS ex boys last year. She stays in sokoto.

Ahmad Sadiq Batagarawa

Batagarawa is a medical student from katsina and the first medicine student in the entire history of the university to become the Vice President 2 of the SU. According to him, he contested due to the fact that medical students in UDUS hardly ever participated in politics. He is really interested in bridging the gap between students in the main campus and city campus. He also hopes campus journalism would improve at the city campus.

Abdurrashid Ibrahim

He is the secretary general of the SU. A 400 level political science student, he is also the class representative of his class. He hails from jos but is based mostly at port-harcourt. A very shy person, he says his favorite meal is pounded yam and he contested for the post of secretary to gain political experience as a political science student.

Saifullah Ibrahim 

Saifullah Ibrahim is a 400 level student of Applied chemistry. He is the assistant secretary general of the student union. An Indigene of kano state he attended Ulul Albab secondary school. Saifullah can hardly ever be seen without a smile and he believes you have to work hard for anything you want.

Umar Mustapha Maigoro

He is the sales director of the SU. A 400 level law student, he says he would be the best sales director UDUS ever had. He also has a strong dislike for corruption and as a result he changed the way the SU notebooks were being distributed. An avid reader, he attended community secondary school dabai. He is from funtua katsina and was born on 1st April 1989

Kabir Musa Bebeji

Known for his unusual dress style, Bebeji is the social director of the SU. He is a 300 level student of computer science and he stays in Kaduna although he hails from Kano. With a lot of plans for the university's

 social life, he recently planned a talent show which 

didn't later hold due to some hitches. We are however expectant of a more social UDUS from him.

Manir Musa

Popularly known as terror, Manir Musa is a 400 level student of biochemistry. He is the SU food director.

He has a good sense of humor and says he is very simple and gentle. He attended Mustapha comprehensive secondary school kontagora.

Muhammad Abdullahi Gusau

Muhammad Abdullahi is a 400 level student of Agric and he is a football coach. No wonder he contested and won the post of Sports Director. He is very interested in females participating in sports and wants to make a change in UDUS sports. He plans to introduce sporting contests in UDUS.

Abubakar Yahuza Kurami
A 400 level veterinary medicine student, he is the PRO1 of the SU. He attended FGC daura and he is dedicated to his job. He is cute and smallish, but mighty.

Abubakar Surayya

Abubakar Surayya is the pretty SU treasurer. A 400 level student of Education Economics, she attended GGSS Dutse Abuja. According to her, she is nice, simple, adorable, cute, and friendly.
